Educational Philosophy

The Swakopmund Christian Academy (SCA) is an English medium school registered with the Namibian Ministry of Education providing an environment of learning, from a Christian world view. We acknowledge our dependence on God and strive to give Him all the glory due His Name, just as our mission states, By His Power, for His Glory.

In all its levels, programs, and teaching, SCA seeks to:

  1. Teach all subjects as part of an integrated whole with the Scriptures at the center (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  2. Provide a clear model of Biblical Christian Life through our staff and School Council (Matthew 22: 37-40)

  3. Encourage every child to begin and develop his/her relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ
    (Matthew 28: 18-20, Matthew 19: 13-15)

In all levels, programs, and teaching, SCA seeks to:

  1. Emphasize grammar, logic and rhetoric in all subjects (see definitions below)
